Younger people are generally more idealistic. In my opinion, a mix of both is best since you can have new ideas that are tempered by wisdom. I wouldn't want our government run by all 20 year olds or by all 80 year olds. If we had only young people serving in government, we'd be steamrolling even faster towards socialism than we are now.
