  7.  @thatoneguy3055  I appreciate that you actually took the time to look it up, that shows me you at least want understand our perspective. Thank you. We know slavery happened, we know racial disparities have plagued this nation. But we also know that our system has rectified the vast majority of those injustices, and hopefully, we will continue to do so. We have nothing against teaching the most embarrassing and horrible sins of our history, but we will not continue to be demonized in perpetuity because people want to use history as a crutch to claim victimhood and use it as an excuse for their failures. This is 2022, not 1850. I don't know you, so I don't know what you've studied, but CRT is a perfect parallel to cultural Marxism. This is not some "right wing" conspiracy theory. These is a fact. Our institutions have been infiltrated by Marxists (at the very least, their ideologies are heavily influenced by Marxism), whether intentionally or otherwise, and they are hell bent on destroying what they believe to be an immoral and unjust nation. I really suggest you research the Frankfurt School, a group of Marxist academics who developed "Critical Theory." They brought this ideology to the United States...I believe this is where it took root. Also, check out a book called "Political Ponerology" which explains how political institutions grow to become evil. Please tell me, in your heart, do you really think America is inherently a racist country? Black people have gone from being slaves to becoming CEOs, a President, entertainers, business leaders, scientists, Supreme Court Justices, etc. I will grant that racism continues to exist, but these are pockets of racism due to either human nature or upbringing, but it's no longer systemic. Anyone can realize their potential in the US if they make good choices.
