  2.  @hogback100  Actually, his understanding of the law is pretty much accurate. Once those documents arrived at Mar-A-Lago, they became personal records of the former president. I don't even agree that it should work that way, but that is how it works.

And to clarify, Fox News settled with Dominion, they admitted no guilt. The fact is, Fox News likely would have won this lawsuit based on discovery which showed that Dominions's own executives asserted their products were insecure and couldn't be trusted . Fox did settle, but it wasn't because they lied.

For the sake of discussion, let's say Trump did break the law, it's very likely he could prove the DOJ engaged in selective prosecution for the purposes of violating his Constitutional rights; this would be grounds for dismissal with prejudice.

  25.  @desantissucks  Apparently, that alleged document wasn't even found, and that would make the tape inadmissible as evidence. There will be multiple motions to dismiss...one will be the overly broad search warrant which appears to violate the 4th amendment. Another motion will be based on the potentially unlawful piercing of attorney client privilege. They leaked the audio in an effort to sway public opinion. If they had an airtight case, nothing would leak.

The uneducated and toothless rube caricature depicted by the state controlled media is an insult to Trump voters, poor people, poorly educated people, and the working class. In response to your query, no, my position on the issue is not based on Trump's opinions, but through an objective analysis of all available information, the opinions of Constitutional scholars and attorneys, and discussions with my sister (she's well versed on the Constitution). Just because my opinions might be similar to those held by Trump, it doesn't mean I accept them at face value without doing my due diligence. Article II of the Constitution and the PRA grant the president plenary authority to declare which documents are personal and which are presidential; that power is vested in only one place, the office of the president. No unelected executive branch agencies have power superceding that of the head of the executive branch, because their power is derived from the office of the president and it is loaned to them at the pleasure of the president.

  32.  @Ulysses.S.Grant.For.The.Union.  Rules of evidence don't apply to a grand jury, and that is why it's very easy to get an indictment....the prosecution can present whatever it wants without any rebuttal and without the defense presenting any exculpatory evidence.
