  1. They haven't done horrible as inflation hedges, gold is up for the year and has held it's value reasonably well. Yes the COMEX is a tool for price manipulation and should be abolished. However, the comex manipulation will not be possibly in a hyper inflationary environment, which is coming. The COMEX is already starting to be ignored with the high premiums on silver/gold showing it is undervalued in the market.

  3.  @djkramerd4582  It's not tulip mania any more than any other fiat currency. It will remain as a way to make payments outside the fiat system.
