  3. I doubt it for me personally, as I own my house outright and have only a car payment as debt. I grow my own food to supplement what I buy and can increase that. Have chickens. Have been stocking up for years now. Lots of skills to trade with. I'd say get ready for a much more barter economy.

  7. Oh I think they really believe that, most people are dumb as hell. They lie to themselves nonstop. They probably sold a home to fund it or refinanced their current one or took out a home equity loan. I agree, there are a lot of houses doing very expensive renovations in my area.

  21. Hunting will be useless in short order because the game will evaporate. People that think they will be able to count on hunting are fools. Trapping is a vile practice, no one should do it. Better get down your gun-fu, and have armor and NV and thermal or you are going to be prey to someone who does. Have fun eating squirrels and rats, around here people raise chickens etc. Why you would want to have to hunt in nature instead of raising livestock is beyond me. You're going backwards.

  22. The police are already militarized. As the are, they cannot fight the people if they rise up in earnest. They'd all die, there are more firearms than people in the US. I'm not even sure the national guard could win, because citizens will overrun their positions with massive numbers and take their equipment, including helicopters and even jets, if they can find pilots for them. Remember, there are also hundreds of thousands of veterans in this country due to the ongoing wars that really know their business.
