I haven't had a car repo, but one time when I rented a car for a month, on the last day when I was supposed to turn it in one of the employees came banging on my door demanding the keys @6:30 AM I shit you not. He is lucky I didn't shoot him. I asked him wtf I still have to the end of the day to return it, and he said his boss wants it now. So I went inside got the keys pushed them into his chest hard enough he went back 6 feet. I told him to GTFO get off my property or I was going to kick his his ass. Why are car people such assholes?? It pervades the entire industry.

Nuts, come to Ohio. The people that own the toyota dealership I go to also have a Kia dealership and are only charging MSRP. But living in New Jersey is it's own punishment.

I looked at a lot of SUVs, including Luxury SUVs, and I actually settled on a Toyota 4Runner. I could have afforded something much more expensive but man, the 4Runner just felt so right. They are built to last 300k+ miles with barely any maintenance, have a timing chain instead of a timing belt etc. Rugged. I love it more than all the luxury SUVs I drove, everyday I feel like I made the right choice.

7 years? That's nuts. I think 3 years is long enough. I am guessing they made zero down payment. I drive a Toyota SUV, a 2021 4Runner, and I made a decent enough down payment and high enough credit that it will be paid off by 2024. What is effed up is that my car is worth more now than when I bought it.

@davidb2206 The golden rule? Do you even know what that is? If you were fucked with 4th stage cancer wouldn't you want someone to cut your family some slack? Do unto others as they would do unto you? Do you know the difference between a deadbeat and someone screwed over by happenstance? If you ever need help of any kind, even if you are drowning, I hope no one helps you. If I knew this was your attitude I'd step on your head instead of saving your drowning ass. I bet you are exactly the kind of person to see a homeless person and say "they deserve it!"
