  1. I think you've got the north-Easter boundary for the Danlaw a little off. The boundary is normally drawn along the River Tees which is the notch a little to the south of where you put the line. I grew in Marske (which was a Danish settlement and which derives its name from Mærsk oo boy ground) and a few miles away we had the distinctly Saxon Charlton.
