  1. You can still find fire insurance badges on buildings in the UK. There's one near me in Longthorpe, Peterborogh. At the time Longthorpe was a small village on the road from Peterborough to Leicester, about 2 miles from Peterborough. Peterborough also has one of the very few volunteer fire brigades in the UK, and as far as I know the only urban one.
