Nice hypothesis, but how does it fit in with the Britush landings in France around 7th June of 157th (Highkand Light Infantry) Brigade and the intentions to land 1st Armoured Dividion and the rest of the 52nd (Lowland) Infsntry Division (from which the 157th came) and the 1st Canadusn Infsntry Division? By focusing on a single part of the fighting, you have lost sight of the bigger picture. Remember after the war all the failures were Madman Hitler's fault, so we can't rely on the German generals for objectivity.
