different parts of Poland belonged to Austria or Prussia or Russia once. i would guess it is tricky for such ages past and Poland may not recognize such old events for today's citizenship.

@enjoyslearningandtravel7957 your ancestors may have been germans then :) the parts which are now polish were usually german until 1945

@pamelanurse2024 depends on their actions/inactions. in germany it was possible to lose citizenship if you did not care anymore while residing abroad for 10 years in a law valid until 1914. to keep it you were obliged to register youself at german embassy/consulate in the foreign country.

you have to be a natural born citizen, but i cannot remember a clause which strikes you off for having one foreign parent.

@antoniobrasse7157 Barrack Obama was born in Hawaii, thus natural born citizen and eligible. but his father was from Kenya, which should mean he is a dual citizen too ?
