  1.  @donna25871  you would rather pay ~10 different presidents over decades (because you would have tpo pay pensions as well) than one king who pays for the job via Crown estates cut to HM treasury ? the crown estates and palaces etc. would belong to Charles Mountbatten-Windsor, not to government, in case of abolishment. me doubts UK is wealthy enough on its own to buy the buildings from him for a republican government.
