  3. Everything about this was a joke. Carbon fiber has strong tensile strength, not compressional. But then they shaved the sub to be more circular, cutting the fibers, and removing even that. Yes I know that carbon fiber CAN have compressional strength, but that is only when its woven in a very specific geometry. not when its wrapped like a string on a spool as they did here.

  8. You can get compressional strength from carbon fiber, but its only when its woven in a very specific geometry where it holds itself rigid. It does not work when you just spin it like thread on a spool as they did here. so Yeah, in this case you are 100% correct. Not to mention then they shaved down the outside so they cut the threads and lost even the tensile strength. They guy clearly thought carbon fiber functioned on magic.

  11. maybe you should have watched the video. Or if you did, maybe you wanna learn what comprehension is. companies like boeing that advised the systems for building this sub are federally funded. Where do you think 60 cents of every tax dollar goes? Its not to the military, they are still using flak jackets from vietnam. Its to "defense contractors".
