Our health system is weak we have less intensive care units per capita than a lot of other countries and it would have been crushed if the virus had spread through an unvaccinated population. Maybe people in Auckland should demand this national led government increase the number of intensive care beds across the country so when the next virus hits the country won't need to lockdown because the health system is strong enough to stand up to it

  8.  @maieldmik5233  yes I do know it for a fact the country is experiencing mass immigration and we don't have the homes to provide to these people and building consents are down. When demand outstrips supply prices go up. Where there's a will there's a way but funny home ownership rates are dropping and it's because the prices are forcing people out of the market.

  10. ​ @Gumpmachine1 the mad lockdowns saved a lot of lives our health system would have collapsed if the government had allowed the virus to move freely through an unvaccinated population. Per capita if we suffered the same death rate as the U.S we would have had 15,500 dead and the US health system is a lot more robust than ours so our death rate could have gone even higher

  13. The only thing this government is going to deliver on is taking care of the top 10% of society like every National government. Immigrants are going to continue to pour in the shortage of housing will remain resulting in increased house prices and rents. Beneficiaries will be relentlessly targeted used as scapegoats for all the countries ills when these people have no economic or political power resulting in having no say over what happens in the country. Luxon is good friends with John key and what the country is going to get is John key 2.0
