@botten4187 "Life decisions", sounds like a euphemism for degeneracy. If a child is raised right, he won't act in a way that will cause his parents to reject him.

@botten4187 Unless a father is himself immoral and/or unreasonable, he will not reject his son for a mere lifestyle difference. I am Christian, but if my son were to choose to convert to Islam or Atheism, he would still be my beloved son. No, children are rejected when they choose to indulge in and identify with unjustifiable acts. What constitutes as unjustifiable differs from person to person, but the essence remains the same. You don't get disowned for merely choosing another path, you get disowned for choosing a bad path. Nice ad hominem-strawman combo by the way; comparing me to Hitler. Amazing.

@krisp1871 Yes, but human beings are counterproductive. As soon as it's actually possible to have loads of children comfortably, people choose not to and make excuses.

Genetics can be overriden by cultural/environmental factors, but that doesn't diminish the importance of genetics. Keep in mind that the recent fluctuations in fertility have been caused by an unprecedented development in history. Before this period, birth rates were more stable and predictable.

@fredrickvonstien861 If what you're describing somehow occurs, humanity (at least urbanised populations) will be genetically stunted, as children of geriatric mothers tend to be.

@fredrickvonstien861 Yes, but that assumes the conditions which cause late births will persist, while all signs show the contrary - Ruralisation, antibiotic-resistant diseases and economic turmoil are imminent. These factors will facilitate higher fertility for future generations, out of necessity.

@rgonzalo511 I'm referring to the massive spike and subsequent mass drop in fertility, caused by industrialisation and urbanisation.

@rgonzalo511 The world does not revolve around America, I am talking about Europe and Asia here.

@indo-aryanism Non-breeders die off, leaving only the breeders and their genes.

@fredrickvonstien861 Again, this is assuming governments who push anti-natalism remain in power. Unless they crack the code to eternal totalitarianism, I doubt it.
