  1. 1) Adams is corrupt, as is required for a New York Mayor. 2) Adams was loudly demanding more money from Uncle Sugar, which is a violation of the "Democrats will venerate a sitting Democrat" policy. 3) This is the kind of corruption that would likely be ignored or delayed while he's in office, if he didn't make loud noises.
