@trikool9773 If they didn't care, they wouldn't wear the glasses!
3
@Lost_AtSea you're just jealous after realizing you uploaded your family photos to the internet and he didn't
3
you're better off trying to salt your existing data
2
translation: I am a big tech shill who doesn't want privacy to exist, so I'm just going to act like it doesn't exist and never existed.
2
your location narrows down about 99% of that. your face, clothes, voice, heartbeat, and your phone's public ID will tell the rest.
2
By "deal with it" do you actually mean to say "don't deal with it, just give up" ? Because you're hearing people who want to deal with it and you are dismissing them so it sounds like you actually mean the opposite of what you're saying.
2
they already approved a decade ago. who do you think is primarily using social media? just keep telling them its for their safety, that its the modern thing to do and will help them buy some useless junk, and that being filmed is empowering them. if that still doesn't work then simply accuse them of having something to hide.
2
@toasterbotnet you're begging me not to care kinda sounds like you care just sayin
2
"inevitable" is always just lazy thinking
1
that won't do anything to stop your face from being recorded and sold. you'd have to stop contacting anybody else using it.
1
why thing has price when can steal? 🤔 such difficult questions!
1
if the information is so public, what do you need the technology for? obviously its giving you personal information you didn't have before, which is what doxxing is.
1
things were already things, so this is nothing new.
1
i understand you have given up on life and don't care about anything, but try not to drag others down with you OK? lots of people care about privacy, just not you.
1
stop using it and start ostracizing the people using it
1
incredibly naive of you to think ads are the only incentive behind seeking out your personal information. is that all you use information for? the saying goes "knowledge is power" and not "knowledge is advertisements"
1
i can understand how someone who is less than 10 years old wouldn't realize this, but the world has been a dystopia for a lot longer than 10 years.
1
same way smart phone cameras and ring cameras are legal
1
@bob-p7x6j Social media companies do know everything we do on social media though and they sell pretty much all of it. all modern phones come with facial ID built into the unlocking mechanism, even if you don't use it to unlock yours. If you have iphone or android, your phone silently takes a picture roughly every 5 seconds. When you travel around, the cell towers you drive by are used to triangulate and record your location. When you meet with someone, your phones exchange ID's letting data collectors know who you've been in physical contact with. Door cams and dash cams stream and record every moving object that passes by. We've been normalizing it for 20 years in the name of security. This is the logical next step.
1
> clicks video > "i don't care get over it"
1
@pubfixture lol yea editing that was good choice
1
all you mean to say is you can't find your own image online by searching for your name. others can though, so the glasses will work on you just fine.
1
@clray123 where can i access all of those cameras?
1
@clray123 being on police camera isn't the same as having photos online tho
1
I think wearing those glasses is affecting your brain. You don't seem to be able to tell which parts of the video are jokes and which are serious.
1
@anonymes2884 those aren't problems for 99% of people. i don't need a camera to look at what im looking at because im already looking at it with my eyes. the remaining 1% of people can already solve these problems with an app on their phones.
1
no because phones require you hold them up. glasses are hands free.
1
because your arm will get tired and you will get jumped for pointing a camera in people's faces
1
@pubfixture you don't have to be an intellectual to understand the difference between holding a phone and wearing glasses
1
then that would be bad too just like this is. any other difficult questions?
1
that's what they'll tell themselves when they buy it, at least.
1
is it more annoying than someone taking a picture of you and putting it on social media without your consent? I think your priorities could use some adjustment here.
1
@Etcher maybe try watching the video einstein its this crazy tech called a camera
1
@ProfShibe not everyone is using their phone and its actually very different. don't pretend everyone is as bad about privacy as you are.
1
^ this guy cares
1
good joke!
1
@orksy2935 then tell us what it is?
1
actually in a lot of places around the world you'll get people yelling at you and even physically attacking you for going around pointing a phone or camera at them. its only in tourist zones that filming strangers is normalized.
1
@pubfixture "its exactly the same" "that's the only difference" 😑 learn english please
1
laws change. legal and illegal aren't substitutes for right and wrong.
1
... I have bad news for you. Just 2 months ago in New York it became illegal to wear a mask "for the purpose of hiding your identity"
1
tree stump no care. return to monke.
1
try to keep up: it was already bad when you did it with your phone. its worse now.
1
that's actually pretty useless. they already have cameras and image databases, they already scan plates before making up a reason to pull someone over, and it doesn't take 10-30 minutes to ask someone for id.
1
and you believe that somehow makes it OK?
1
the video is fine, your selective paranoia is the issue. you're more concerned about pointing the finger than the actual negative effects it will have
1
the problem is the camera in the glasses. smartphones having cameras is actually making the situation worse, not better as you seem to believe. normal =/= good
1
be honest, when would you see a problem?
1
translation: everything is scary magic and i don't want to think about it
1
every single thing you said here was very dumb.
1
@kenbobcorn holding a phone up is way more noticeable than glasses, nobody said the pipeline only works with these glasses, nobody said "its the glasses fault" that doesn't even make sense.
1
@kenbobcorn "why hold up a phone" that's the whole point of wearing the glasses. no phone or secret camera needed. what "we can technically do" is irrelevant, the reason you say "we can" is because you already know we don't.
1
sadly heis not likes us intelecterals
1
it already exists and is called money
1
false. its recording your face regardless of whether it was already available.
1
kinda sounds like you took that one personally lmao
1
@MikeMcMulholland-d5f +2 NPC points, level up!
1
who said people are scared only right now? are you sure you're not just projecting onto them after watching a youtube video reminder?
1
i watched a movie, some ads, and a youtube video and now i can predict the future lol! 😛do not resist, just purchase product. trust me bro.
1
everybody except the ones in charge of the data
1
whoa, next you're going to tell me Mark Zuckerberg doesn't really have direct access to our balls? now I don't know what to believe...
1
@aloe2454 there is no way min/maxing billboard watch time stats will ever be beneficial
1
I know that's made up, but Schopenhauer did warn that reading too much is actually bad for the human brain
1
well you could stop giving them your data, at least.
1
inb4 the zuck apologists get jealous of you and try coping with "Ur uSinG soCial mEdIA riGhT Now!" or "yOu MusT NeveR tAlK tO AnyoNe!"
1
we can identify criminals without glasses. not sure what country you are in but in most first world countries law enforcement is required to get a warrant before they can search you. this would be in violation of that right.
1
the problem is that it can be done with any camera
1
that's just one public database used as test. there are private databases they can pay for with way more on them.
