@user-je4vd9sp5d "Hamas would have put the tunnels close to the sea" Gaza is literally right on the Mediterranean Sea. The whole of Gaza City is within a few km of the coast.

That is probably the best thing to do in order to secure Gaza without losing military personnel in a down and dirty hand to hand combat situation in those tunnels. It would require huge amounts of water though and it would take time to construct the pipe system to get the water from the sea to the tunnel openings.

@ericmac8110 The hostages would likely have been killed anyway. Can't allow the terrorists to continue to control Gaza.

@user-je4vd9sp5d No, it's not easy for me to say. What's your solution? Do what the terrorists want to get the hostages released? Lose many soldiers fighting them in the tunnels? There aren't any easy solutions. Thanks for the insult though. Jeez...
