Hard to say! I can only speculate! If it was her abusing him and he snapped it may have been reactive abuse. Both in the couple need to refrain from any form of intimate partner violence and keep communication civil. This is more challenging in a place where alcohol and drugs are available and one or both partners are pretty immature and cannot manage their emotions.
