Around September 2008 I met a really well dressed man on the London Underground and he told me that within 10 years a pandemic was inevitable and would happen! He said that vaccines and vaccine passports would be necessary to deal with it and that many people would be furloughed. I think it’s just been known in certain circles for some time that a virus of this strength was inevitable. The average Joe just isn’t interested in microbiology! It’s a very specialised field.
