The White european ethnic cleansing and genocide of the indigenous natives of North America, and in numerous other locations was and is indeed a blot on history, however during that time period the laws that govern the behaviour of states that we have today in the 20th century and beyond were simply non-existent, so the ethnic cleansing of Palestine, under International law, the Geneva conventions and the UN Charter and Human Rights law, all of which Israel knowingly violates does not give Israel a pass because the same behaviours and disregard for human life happened some 2-3 centuries before in the American colonisation of that continent. Israel committed itself to abide by International law of its own free will when it knowingly invaded non Israeli territory outside its declared borders in violation of that commitment.
