Comments by "Kenneth Hammond" (@kennethhammond6683) on "Taiwan's Foreign Minister, Joseph Wu (full interview) | China Tonight" video.
Taiwan secessionist authorities continue to seek support, including military ones, from the US and increasingly from Australia to disrupt the national reunification of China, and this proves that the message of the Chinese mainland of a peaceful solution toward Taiwan compatriots and the serious warning to authorities on the island have been ignored, with experts from both sides of the Taiwan Straits saying this is "the last madness" of the secessionists before their doomsday, and the hope of a peaceful solution to the Taiwan question is declining sharply.

@bobs_toys 2758 (XXVI). Restoration of the lawful rights of the People's Republic of China in the United Nations The General Assembly, Recalling the principles of the Charter of the United Nations, Considering the restoration of the lawful rights of the People's Republic of China is essential both for the protection of the Charter of the United Nations and for the cause that the United Nations must serve under the Charter, Recognising that the representatives of the Government of the People's Republic of China are the only lawful representatives of China to the United Nations and that the People's Republic of China is one of the five permanent members of the Security Council, Decides to restore all its rights to the People's Republic of China and to recognise the representatives of its Government as the only legitimate representatives of China to the United Nations, and to expel forthwith the representatives of Chiang Kai-shek from the place which they unlawfully occupy at the United Nations and in all the organisations related to it. 1976th plenary meeting, 25 October 1971. The ROC has no internationally recognised standing.

@bobs_toys Hong Kong like Taiwan is Chinese sovereign territory, Hong Kong is very much 1C2S, the mistake that Hong Kong made was its failure to implement the National Security Law, a requirement of the Hong Kong basic Law that protects and inhibits outside political interference in China's internal affairs, as such the Government of China implemented the law itself, that being the governments prerogative.

@bobs_toys So what, the ROC is not recognised as being the government in China, that honour is reserved for the PROC, the ROC has no standing in Chinese sovereign territory nor does it have standing internationally. If the Koumintang Nationalists wants to go to war to hold on to their separatist fantasy, rather than peacefully reuniting with the motherland then the PROC has the means and will accommodate them, Opposing Political party's do not get to slice of sovereign territory to call own state.

@bobs_toys "PRC 'seceded' from the ROC" clearly incorrect, the record shows: On 9 April Chiang declared martial law in Shanghai and the Central Control Commission issued the "Party Protection and National Salvation" proclamation, denouncing the Wuhan Nationalist Government's policy of cooperation with the CCP. On 11 April Chiang issued a secret order to all provinces under the control of his forces to purge Communists from the KMT, mass executions of CCP supporters followed, a factor in the start of the Chinese civil war. The KMT lost and fled leaving the CCP as the successor state governing China, including Taiwan.

@bobs_toys The Alliance collapsed as a result of Chiang's treachery leading to the Shanghai massacre.

@bobs_toys Read a history book it may help to overcome your total ignorance of history.
1
@bobs_toys Who prevailed in the the Chinese civil war and succeeded to be the government of China ? who lost? who is internationally recognised as the sole government of China? who is not?
1
@bobs_toys Well, there is no formal peace treaty if that is the point you are making. I repeat, Chiang ordered that the communists be expelled from the KMT/CCP Northern Alliance, his orders were carried out in a most brutal and violent manner including public beheadings, after that, as one would expect, the Northern Alliance collapsed. If you insist on your semantics, it is irrelevant to the current and internationally recognised government of China, the CCP and their plans for full re-unification of China.
1
@bobs_toys What you fail to understand is that your version of events is irrelevant given that the CCP is the internationally recognised government of China and that Taiwan is recognised as being China's sovereign territory. Taiwan at a point of the Chinese governments own choosing will be re-united with the mainland under the CCP governments control, hopefully without bloodshed, Its as simple as that.

@bobs_toys Never read so much twaddle in my life. Taiwan will fall within a week.

"Koumintang" Chinese Nationalist Party propaganda, Taiwan is China. This is nothing more than the defeated Nationalist Koumintang continuing the civil war, it will loose. It becomes quite clear why the US chose to allow Australia to gain nuclear tech so that Australia can be responsible to defend Taiwan.
