Zionists were key to that. It’s why they have been trying to tie Anti Zionism to anti semitism. It’s a way to rid western leaders who supported Palestinians. It’s basically a mess and I don’t think there are any US diplomats capable of fixing this mess that multiple administrations have created. Particularly not in a way that maintains US hegemony. The petro dollar was struck a fatal blow by the seizure of Russian assets. There has been a steady flow out of western banks over the last year. Several hundred billion from European banks and nearly a trillion from US banks.
