What is 'rational' when China demanded to be the leader of the socialist bloc in the Cold War and then got into bed with the US and backed the terrorists in Afghanistan against the Soviet Union, and backed Pol Pot in his genocide and tried to saved him afterwards after he was deposed by Vietnam, attacked India, the Soviet Union and Vietnam?!
