Westerners are thoroughly brainwashed. When the US invaded Vietnam unprovoked and killed millions and practically destroyed the country, it's not an invasion but just 'helping the south'. When Vietnam liberated and saved Cambodia from the murderous Pol Pot regime that had already killed two millions Cambodians as a response to the Khmer Rouge's incursions into Vietnam border towns in three years that killed tens of thousands Vietnamese, it was 'invasion'! LOL!

Show me the source that says the 'Vietnamese have invited the Americans back' or what exactly did the Vietnamese do that you consider as inviting US to come back and protect Vietnam from China?!

@snapdragon9300 Vietnam has trade relations with everybody in the world and let navies from ALL sides to visit its ports. US' and western ships also visited China's ports and China has also participated in RIMPAC before tension flares up between them too, so what you said is in no way, shape, or from can be interpreted as Vietnam are 'inviting the US back to counter China's threat'. In fact, Vietnam has published white paper that clearly states that it won't side with any side in order to fight any side, so you're lame!

@notxarbsenoj9231 Saying both sides committed atrocities to pull the NVA/VC down to the US' level is so lame and absolutely false! So the French resistance and the Nazis are the same because supposedly both sides committed atrocities in WWII?! The truth is NVA/VC's can't commit violence against the population because that's like killing themselves! They ARE the population! HTF can they fight the US if they commit atrocities against themselves. Do you have even half a brain?! The US, on the other hand, is foreign invader/aggressor that is hated by the population. The population actively fight against it so it has to resort to atrocities to terrorize the population into submission exactly like they did to the American natives. War doesn't automatically or necessarily mean there must be atrocities committed by both sides. It depends on the nature of the war and the participants! You're the one who is lying because you're saying the NVA/VC committed atrocities but provide no proof whatsoever!

@notxarbsenoj9231 It must be over for you because you don't make any fking sense here! If you can say both sides in the US war against Vietnam are evil then why can't I not compare WWII to that war?! What exactly is the reason I can't do that?! The French resistance fought against the Nazis for the same reason the NVA/VC fought against the US. That is independence and territorial integrity. The Nazis invaded France for the same reason the US invaded Vietnam. That is world domination! So why tf can't I not compare them two. Even if the cases are different, I can still make comparison as long as it make sense. You can point out exactly where I'm wrong but you can't order me not to compare!

First, The irony is on the US. They piratically committed genocide in Vietnam to prevent the communists takeover, but now they wanna hug them. On the contrary, the communists always wants to have a good relationship with the US from the get go when they established the new Vietnam in 1945. Second, you're talking as if Vietnam wants US protection from China like the Saigon puppet regime. Vietnam just wants good relationship with everybody in cluding their old enemies like China and the US. Aparently you've never learnt any lesson from history. Vietnam has been fighting China for the last 2000 years. Nobody in this world knows how to defend themselves against China like Vietnam. So no, they don't need US protection and the US can't protect anybody. Remember the Saigon regime and Kissinger? He once said, 'it may be dangerous to be America's enemy, but to be America's friend is fatal.'
