Yeah but more so in the USA because they lack any proper enemies, it's basicaly what Hitler wanted with lebensraum, only bigger, longer time frame, beter location, capitalism and even more violence, ohhh yeah and very few natives to deal with.
If there is any enemy that seems logical, it's likely from within, causing stagnation, seccession, civil war like before, followed by having first a foothill on the mainland, then followed by an invasion with superior firepower, reach the midwest bread basket and hold it, no foods from outside for 2-10 years and you could win, I say could because all of this is very hypothetical and very slim but that's how I do it.

@shindari most of the world actualy hates the USA and considers it a threat, the USA has benefited immensely from ww2 and ww1, which turned it into a superpower we know today.
You don't need to invade the USA just build up enough forces to keep them out, something the USA has feared since the end of the cold war, so it has to keep finding new enemies and specifically look for ways to prolong conflicts while also limiting potential rivals.
Most anti americanism is focused on it's modern actions, not the cold war and nothing against it's people but government and perhaps culture.
Invading the USA is stupid because there is nothing to gain at a huge price, perhaps destroy it's military production might be useful if the USA does not allow other nations to break away from it's forced threaties and limitations on their military.
Most people want to be allies with the USA but they also want their independence and same status in terms of wealth and military, something the USA does not want.
Take Russia for example, it's a joke, barely much of a economic or military power, yet the USA wants other nations in Europe to be afraid, because no conflict means no more NATO, no NATO means no more defence spending.
China right now is the biggest threat to the USA and likely others are to follow as well, it won't be a hot war most likely but the USA is losing ground because it's model no longer works for nations self interest.
