I don't think Russia will completely collapse but it's likely that parts of it's border regions and perhaps Siberia will become independent in the coming years and decades with it's current demographic collapse Russia simply can't maintain these areas without either reform or loss of lands elsewhere. I think it's important that people in west don't cheer on this complete collapse as a victory over Russia but rather frame it as a defeat of an imperialistic Russia and present an offer and a path towards becoming a democracy and a respected member potentially of the EU and maybe even NATO, Russia is right to distrust the west and many gleefully desire to see the collapse of Russia but this would just be a helping hand for China and give an even bigger sense of alienation and isolation towards Russian people. Russia was not always like it is today, it used to be considered a rather civilized and respected country it can become so again but only if the people there demand it and the west promote it's rise to do so, vile and wicked as Putin may be, don't fail to imagine someone worse could take his place because it very well could.
