Bro what Morocco did you went to? in Morocco women that graduate from universities are more than men and women working in engineering and architecture are more than men also, there are even women in the parliament, and the GDP per capita in Morocco and Vietnam is not that different, Morocco with 3400 usd and Vietnam with 3700.
171
@russellwillmoth9734 And we also were and still an autocracy, Vietnam has debts reaching 144 billion usd and it's increasing every year, while Morocco's debts are only 64 billions and it's slowly decreasing , the minimum monthly salary in Morocco is still higher than the average salary in Vietnam, Morocco still ranks 42nd in the quality of infrastructure while Vietnam ranks 77th. And hopefully both countries do better in the future.
19
@renacleerican7824 Morocco is a middle income country, not poor but not rich, people move away to countries that are higher income looking for better economic opportunities, there are more than 30 million Germans living in the USA that doesn't mean Germany is poor. And the number of Vietnamese and Moroccans who moved abroad is the same, both 5 million.
12
@Tusk-ruk I'm a Moroccan, college graduates here are more women than men, and women dominate lot of sectors including engineering and architecture, and you can find women in parliament and political parties, so it's incorrect to say that all Muslim majority countries are oppressing women.
11
War torn Iraq still has a higher GDP per capita than India, Hindu Indians aren't that rich either
10
@rogerjohnson2562 None, Morocco is semi-secular
7
@pinchebruha405 Not all arab countries opress women, for example in Egypt, Morocco and Tunisia women are treated the same as men.
5
@maxpro6379 That's dumb most have universities that teach science and technology how do you think pakistan got nuclear weapons and iran is on the way to get them too
5
Let's assume they sold land what about the illegal settlements? that's a land they didn't sell.
5
@maxb9315 Vietnam has a rate of 0.7 and Morocco has a rate of 0.68 not too different, but Morocco has higher average salaries, better infrastructure, higher literacy rates...
5
@Lilliz91 More like it's different how everyone interprets religion, the oldest university in the world was built by a muslim woman, the strict version of Islam (wahhabism) you see today in some parts of the muslim world didn't appear till the creation of Saudi Arabia, and it exported it to other areas because it had a strong influence and tons of oil money, before that most muslim majority countries weren't strict or extremist.

Everything good in life is Porn and Alcohol?
3
@kirgan1000 Vietnam ranks 25 in oil reserves, Morocco ranks 97, we barely have any while Vietnam have a fair amount of oil.
3
Most muslim majority countries have a higher GDP per capita than India, Egypt Iraq Libya even Tunisia.
3
IQ levels in Iraq and Syria are higher than those of most Latin America countries, and all South Asian countries and they're still struggling economically, so i don't see your point.
2
Actually most middle eastern countries have a GDP per capita higher than Colombia and has less crime rates
2
@neyou6940 Syria is secular, Lebanon too, Egypt Tunisia Turkey Jordan are all secular Only Saudi Arabia and Iran and Afghanistan are very strict
2
And even Saudi Arabia is becoming rapidly secular
2
And civilization started in the middle east and Egypt, Babylonians, Phoenicians...
2
@carstenhansen5757 I'll just assume you never did some actual research, cousin marriage rates in the UAE are 20%, in Egypt 14%, and 3.9% in Turkey, 12% in Morocco, 12% in Indonesia, 7% in Malaysia. it's not even the majority in the poor mostly rural Afghanistan with a rate of 27%. and those numbers are mostly of old people as it's even more rare almost nonexistent with the younger generations. That doesn't show that "most" still do it
2
Most Muslim countries allow women to work, like Turkey and Lebanon, Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, the UAE etc...
2
@martinl3595 Most French car makers have factories in Morocco and use parts made in Morocco, like Renault, Peugeot, Citroën...
2
@elizabetharnold5849 The international community considers Israeli settlements in the West Bank to be illegal under international law. Area C contains 230 Israeli settlements into which Israeli law is applied and under the Oslo Accords was supposed to be mostly transferred to the PNA by 1997, but this did not occur. Citing the 1980 law in which Israel claimed Jerusalem as its capitol, the 1994 Israel–Jordan peace treaty, and the Oslo Accords, a 2004 advisory ruling by the International Court of Justice concluded that the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, remain Israeli-occupied territory.
2
@shreyakatti389 Nah that's wrong, most doctors and politicians in Australia and the USA that immigrated there came from Muslim majority countries
2
@smedleyfarnsworth263 here's another different source: Census: U.S. Arabs Well Off MARCH 8, 2005 / 4:35 PM EST / CBS/AP People of Arab descent living in the United States tend to be better educated and wealthier than other Americans, the Census Bureau says. There are about 1.2 million U.S. residents whose ancestry is solely or partly Arab, less than a half-percent of all Americans. The details in Tuesday's report covered the 850,000 people who identified themselves in the 2000 census as having only Arab ancestries. Arabs are nearly twice as likely as the typical U.S. resident to possess a college degree — 41 percent to 24 percent. Better education typically translates into higher income, and that was highlighted in the report: The median income for an Arab family was $52,300, about $2,300 more than the median income for all U.S. families.
2
@smedleyfarnsworth263 It's not like similar censuses are done every year, none were done more recently that i could find, and what's the difference between 18 years ago and now? it's not like they suddenly became poorer and they got their college degrees taken away from them.
2
@huntclanhunt9697 Very wrong, literacy rates here are 98% for the whole population male and female, university graduates are more female than male and that's not a minority men are actually the minority in this case, teachers are mostly female, engineers are mostly female, there's even focus on women's sport and we have a strong women football team that had some success in the world cup and was cheered by the whole country, that doesn't seem like women stay at home to me
2
@mangosteen999 Saudi Arabia is rich due to Indian workers but India itself is poor and has a lower GDP per capita than war torn Iraq? seems logical to me
2
@longinusukenta But in the top 10 richest countries in GDP per capita there are 3 Arab countries (Qatar, UAE, Saudi Arabia) and an additional none-arab Muslim country (Singapore)
2
@awacherif1689 the average salary is between 350$ to 400$ a month, that is middle income, low income is less than 250$ a month
2
Calling Tunisia and Morocco Islamic is like calling the USA Christian, they are the most secular arab nations.
1
@JjkJjk-or9kc It's also due to opening up on world trade and having a free market
1
Then Latin America and the Philippines and Sub-Saharan Africa are poor because of Christianity?
1
Sure that's why Qatar and the UAE has the highest GDP per capita in the world and Christian Latin America is extremely poor
1
And he should mention that when Saudi Arabia cutoff the oil on the USA prices skyrocketed and buying gas became impossible for the average american
1
Christian Venezuela has tons of oil and it's still not doing that good
1
How is India doing well? GDP per capita in most muslim countries are higher than India including war torn Iraq, Tunisia, and even Tunisia, that's without considering the rich golf states.
1
Because they're doing well and it disproves his point
1
War torn Iraq still has a higher GDP per capita than India
1
Sure that's why Qatar and the UAE have the highest GDP per capita in the world because of their genetics, that's a dumb argument Eastern Europe is poor is it genetics too?
1
@2ndSonofGod Anglo-Saxons couldn't build a single ancient civilization, and they worship middle eastern Semitic deities and prophets, meanwhile the middle east was the birthplace of civilization, the Mesopotamians (the first civilization in the world), the ancient Egyptians, the Phoenicians, the Babylonians, the Israelites... So did genetics just appear in the 18th or 19th century?
1
@2ndSonofGod Morals came mostly from Abrahamic religions, ethics also, even secularism came from the French revolution and not Anglo-Saxons, also food? i never heard of a food that came from them, you must be living in your own alternate reality
1
Literacy rates in Morocco are 98%, that's higher than most Christian majority South America and Christian majority Sub-Saharan Africa and even some European countries.
1
Lmao who said science is haram Islam encourages learning, and most muslim countries have same or higher GDP per capita than Eastern Europe
1
Maybe you haven't been to Turkey and Indonesia and the UAE before
1
@Marcus_-sy9fi They are rapidly developing, and Turkey is in the middle east but the title says Muslim countries anyway and not Arab countries, and Turkey is as democratic and secular as any country in Europe and they have no oil, kindly do some research.
1
@Marcus_-sy9fi Turkey never used religion as a basis to govern, it was created as an extremely secular republic that they even banned the headscarf (or the hijab) and they tried removing religion from society as much as possible, religion only made a comeback because people voted for erdogan's conservative party over other secular parties, and that's how democracy works people choosing their government and who to lead them, and immigrating to other countries doesn't disprove that, lot of Italians for example immigrated to the USA does that mean Italy is not a democracy? no they're just looking for better economic opportunities.
1
@Marcus_-sy9fi That's exactly my point, not all Muslim or Arab countries have the same policies and cultures, for example Egypt, Tunisia, Morocco are all secular and modern too, although not all of them are democratic (that's because the west supported dictators there that opposed communism during the cold war) but they're still modern and equal for men and women and the governments don't care about what you wear or say like for example in Afghanistan or Saudi Arabia.
1
Then Latin American countries are poor because of Christianity? Qatar and the UAE have the highest GDP per capita in the world, if you believe it's solely because of oil, Christian majority Venezuela has tons of oil too and they're not doing too well.
1
@Nishant1207- Still the countries with highest GDP per capita in the world are muslim too
