@donwyoming1936 I think you're forgetting that Ru was a MAJOR supplier of the ammo we use in the US until someone decided not to import their stuff. You're probably only seeing "old stock" because they want to use it up before it "goes bad" -yes I'm aware ammo doesn't go bad in a yr. but when you lose a market as big as the US you probably slow or stop production and say let's use some of this up (aka which neighbor needs some invading because we haz too many boolets)

@donwyoming1936 I think you're also greatly underestimating their production rate capabilities... Take just the ppsh41, not the simplest design, they built 5,000,000 of those from 1941 to eop. Being generous would be to give that 5 years and that would mean over 500 per day. 1000 per day with modern standards is not the issue, they're going to run out of humans before guns.

Yeah there would never be that last part about compensation. It would be more like "if you're not gonna fight or you have extry Guns gimme gimme gimme." This is literally happening in Ukraine.
