Ah yes, they only have 4 weeks of NATO training compared to 10 and only a billion dollars of new gear a month coming in. I guess the Russians 2 days of training and rusty AK is totally adequate for the task of taking Kyiv …again…..for real this time…

So Belarus will fail too.

Or Ukraine just doesn’t bother and keeps it troops in the east. They have US intelligence assets helping them. I doubt they’d station troops their if Belarus really was just pulling a feint.

@Republic3D I’d say a lot. Because the Belarusians repeatedly have been doing what ever they can to sabotage the Russian efforts in Ukraine. (The Belarusian railroad sabotages early on comes to mind, as well the Belarusians volunteer battalions fighting In the Ukrainian side). It’s not like ol’Luka is very popular with his people. Not to mention the Ukrainians still have tons of milita, border guards, and TDF units in the rear for just such an scenario. And again, tons of more NATO supplied weapons then they did in February. I just can’t see how trying the same tactic twice will some how work out for the Russian side. It reminds me of the Italians trying 14 times to break Austro-Hungarian lines back in the day.

@Republic3D I think the T-72s are being taken because the Russian factories can’t make up for the losses so far in the war (hence why there now modernizing 800 or so T-62s right now). As for the 20,000’reservists….I mean what are they going to do against 60,000 or so Belorussians that either don’t want to fight, don’t follow orders or, worse, turn on them green on blue style ?

@Republic3D I hope so too, but only victory will bring lasting Peace for Ukraine. Anything less is just a temporary ceasefire so Russia can lick its wounds with and rebuild it military.

Why? Ukraine still has tons of TDF units and even more NATO weapons to help. And what if Poland start putting more troops on the Belarusians border?
