how did she think that they were treated?

down2earth southerners really did our country a great disservice when they blindly followed the bush doctrine (neo-conservative) and were gun-ho about blindly believing his lies about the iraq invasion and didn't want to listen to any of us "liberals" back then who actually did our fact checking and research and knew that every problem and obstacle that the army faced was going to happen and of course knew that there wasn't any wmds. you all shouldn't have been so stubborn and you should've listened to us back then because we could've avoided what could turn into the beginning of the end of the usa being a super power because of that idiotic blunder by bush and his team. i'm surprised that you would actually bring that up at all. what's even worse is that i'll bet most of you brainwashed gun-ho morons haven't learned a thing from this and if a republican president in the near future tries to pull the exact same thing in a situation that would directly parallel the iraq invasion then you all would once again blindly be gun-ho and excited about going to war again and repeat the same moronic mistake and not listen to a word that we the smart ones who do our fact checking and research know. if a democratic president tried that same thing then i'm sure that it would confuse you and you would all be "no, hey wait a minute, i mean yes, i mean no, now i'm confused. i better go watch fox news and let them tell me what i should think." i'm surprised that you even brought that topic up.

the truth is that most of the people in louisiana wouldn't have liked obama even if he was white. they don't like his energy policies because they are the kind where you have to suffer a little bit in the short term in order to preserve and make for an inevitable smoother transition down the road instead of hitting into a brick wall in the future. the region down in those parts have never been big on that for some reason. they would rather have a job and die of black lung disease at 40 then lose their job and be temporarily living with the stress of not knowing what to do at the moment but still alive later.

it seemed like she was trying to throw that out there as a distraction. everybody knows that louisiana has a lot of openly racist people living there but still i doubt that most of them would've liked obama even if he was white. obama's energy policies are putting short term strain on the people there in order to try to prevent them all from running into a brick wall in the future. a lot of people in the south would rather live in a place where they have a job and die of black lung disease at 40 instead of being without a job and living past 60.

sometimes too much race baiting does go on in the media to be honest with you. the question that needs to be asked and that people down in the south would need to honestly answer is would you have voted for obama if he happened to be white or would you support his policies if he was white and if the answer is still no then explain why and if they either give a coherent response or even a simple-minded liberal this and liberal that and taxing me for this and taxing me for that and the bible says this and the bible calls that a sin and so forth then they might honestly not like obama because of his policies.

down2earth that's a double edged sword that you are referring to though. the iraq invasion was based on lies not to mention the fact that it was poorly planned. if southerners had any brain cells then they wouldn't have blindly followed their leaders and they would've been on the right side of history and would've fought to try to prevent this monumental disaster that the bush administration created for us that still and will continue to haunt us for a while now.

it improves ratings.

i doubt that most of the white people would've liked obama even if he was white down there. they don't like his energy policies because it puts strain on them now in order to preserve things for them later. people in the south don't like making those kinds of sacrifices. a lot of them would rather have a job and die of black lung disease at 40 then to be out of work or working in some industry that doesn't pay as much as the bread and butter industry that built their state. in the long term, what he is doing will help their state but they don't care about that down there. his typically social liberal positions don't help him get votes from the bible belt christian right down there either.

aSingleDallasGuy of course there is racism in louisiana and plenty of in your face racism there. still, i doubt that obama would be very popular in louisiana even if he was white because they really don't like his energy policies. that is another long debate where in my opinion someone has to play the bad guy in order to stop the state of louisiana from running into a brick wall like in west virginia and the crippled coal mining industry but that's another topic.

aSingleDallasGuy you didn't read my comment did you. go back and reread my comment and then respond back.

skoda10 how are we wrong? there are white people in louisiana who still don't know that it is a racially derogatory word when they call a black person a n----. i'm not saying that every white person in louisiana is a racist but the ones that are seem to be pretty open about it from my point of view,
1
aSingleDallasGuy i've been to louisiana and stayed there for a couple of weeks. believe me, there are plenty of openly racist people down there.

aSingleDallasGuy ????????? do you have any idea what an idiot you sound like right now, first of all i'm not going to start giving names of relatives over the internet. second of all, when i'm in a room full of strangers and i'm constantly hearing the n----- word and hateful things about black people and never did catch the names of these people that i didn't know and never met before doesn't mean that i didn't just see people being openly racist. what kind of stupid response is that to say "name names?" what does that prove? is that the best that you can do out of desperation? is this how stupid the right wing has become to try to claim that there isn't any racism in an area? that is the dumbest thing that i have heard of in a long time.
1
aSingleDallasGuy i've never heard it to the degree that i was hearing it down there. i heard it quite a bit in indiana when i was there. it still doesn't matter because i said that there were a lot of openly racist people in louisiana and there are. if there are a alot of them in places like michigan or massachussetts like you said then that doesn't mean that there aren't any openly racist people in louisiana. that made no sense at all. this is the state that voted for david duke to be a congressman knowing full well what his background was. so far you haven't made one real point at all. the more you talk, the dumber you sound. all i have to do is point out how stupid your points are to you with ease.
1
aSingleDallasGuy no i mentioned being in earshot of strangers in public places too. no i know that you are just trying to keep me talking. when i hear people saying those f----- n----- are going to take over our neighborhood just because a few of them moved into the predominately white neighborhood that they were living in then i would call that person a racist. it doesn't matter if i never formally met the person or not. i would consider that person a racist.
