julian strauss ????? in nazi germany people were afraid to write letters to each other that included things that could be critical of the nazi party or hitler. when they did, they would always do it in codes that the people conversing this way could understand. i think that we have a long way to go before we experience that kind of totalitarianism. besides that, i've been talking and hearing from germans, french, brits, etc and they are actually worse off (a little bit) when it comes to freedom of speech these days. seriously though, how can you possibly think that?

julian strauss aren't you afraid of getting arrested for all of the things that you said in this thread if what you say about the NSA were really true? i don't ever see anyone talking in codes whenever they criticize the government for anything. in nazi germany, they meant business about not allowing any criticism of the decisions made about the third reich.

julian strauss ??????? i say whatever negative criticism that i want against my own government and i word it however i want to word it and i've never been afraid that i was going to have my doors kicked down by the "neo-gestapo" and be arrested for the things that i say on the internet or in any kind of public forum. it seems to me that everybody else feels the same way too whether they be right wingers or left wingers.
