it sounds more like a case of racial profiling by the cop. maybe the cop was being really nasty to him and was afraid that the cop was going to make something up and try to frame him. i've seen that happen and had a couple of cops on two different occasions try to antagonize me when i hadn't done anything and i'm a white guy.

Joseph565112 this guy actually hadn't done anything wrong except panic and run away from the cop. it was a strange move since he was innocent. his conviction for burglary was back in the 90s too and he had a permit for his gun and a prescription for his pain pills and marijuana.

this story still sounds very fishy. if this guy who was shot hadn't done anything then why would there be any kind of confrontation? i suspect that the cop was trying to run him down and antagonize him and try to get him to respond. i've seen cops do that all of the time and had two of them try to do that to me on two different occasions.

SillyPutty125 that percentage sounds a little high to me. i would lower it a bit.

SillyPutty125 i wasn't just talking about the ones who shoot people. i was also referring to the ones that just beat people up who haven't done anything or try to be as big of assholes that they can be with the people and use their badge to bully, demean and push anyone around that they want for no reason. i would also throw in the ones who shake down dealers, pimps, frame people, destroy evidence, etc. it's hard to come up with accurate data if you include all of that but my estimate would be that it is below 90%

yumri4 i'm confused about the gun laws. how can you have a permit for a gun when by law you can't own one because of your jail record?
