  1. those would be political refugees escaping a brutal government.  the usa looks at these things in a completely different way.  an example is that the usa allowed cubans and vietnamese boat people that were found by american ships to migrate to the usa because they were deemed political refugees escaping oppression.

  2. an american would probably be arrested and then told to pay a ransom in order to be released in some areas of mexico.  of course the local authorities wouldn't mention it to the central government in mexico and of course none of this is legal but this is mexico that you mentioned.

  5. ***** i'm not from europe but from what i am constantly hearing is that they literally have a cultural heritage based on thievery and hustling people in any way that they can.  i know that some are ok and try to work hard and better themselves but they still have that cultural heritage that they all would have to collectively overcome.
