he should've apologized to the girl and the offended crowd. it looks like a simple mistake that didn't come from a mean-spirited place and all would've been forgiven and then the crowd would've just went back to enjoying the concert.

@carlos powell jr the girl wasn't reading a speech that she wrote. she was rapping along with the rapper who wrote the song because HE invited her onstage to rap along with him. how hard is that to understand? some of you really are thick headed. it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that the mistake was on lamar kendrick and it was his responsibility to take the blame for the offense.

@kj he should've apologized to the girl and to the fans who booed because he's the one who invited her onstage to rap with him. this was a 15 year old girl too. she's going to assume that it's ok to use that word while rapping along with him because it was the song that she was invited to rap with him onstage. i'll bet that lamar didn't think that the crowd would start booing and then went into damage control by throwing her under the bus. like i said, he should've taken responsibility for the mistake. instead he showed a character flaw in himself by not only not admitting his mistake but pushing the blame on someone else for his mistake now people think he's am dickhead. lol if he would've done what i said for damage control then it would've all blown over and nobody would think that he was a dickhead. :D.

i don't know what would've been going through his mind. call her onstage for another song or call a black person up onstage. if he wants to make a point about white people not using that word than he should just send a polite tweet to all of his followers and tell all of them.

@carlos powelll jr "cater to the thoughts of his fan base....." what he did was an attempt at damage control over his own mistake and came up with the wrong spur of the moment way of doing it.

@cjp he screwed up. i think what he could've done is stop the song when the crowd was booing and say "sorry wrong song for you to rap along with me to. my fault though. i'm the one who invited you up here to rap this song with me. i apologize to you and all of you fans who are offended. it was my mistake and not this girl's mistake. now lets continue with the concert." :D

@7figz and people can call him a dickhead for the way he addressed it too.

@burritos 343 that doesn't mean that she would know any better. if lamar never told her to censor that word then normally people are going to think it's ok. she could've assumed that the other people took it upon themselves to censor themselves when they rapped along with him.

some people think it's ok if you are quoting another person. especially when it's a black guy's own lyrics to the song. still i'll retract a little bit because i didn't get that part where he hinted around to her not to use that one word. it would've been a cool move just to apologize to the crowd though and in the future make himself more clear. not all of his fans follow his every tweet on twitter and don't always know........

i think that would be called attempted murder if it was literal. lol

@michelle r ??? i've known white guys who were into rap since the 1980s. how old are you?
2
@michele r do you really expect a 15 year old girl to automatically know to bleep out a certain slang word in a rap song that she was invited to rap along with by the guy who wrote the song? she's going to assume that it's ok. it's not being stupid on her part. it was stupid on lamar's part.
1
a 15 year old girl might think it's ok in the context that she used it. she was quoting lamar on a song that he invited her onstage to rap together. a lot of 15 year olds aren't up to date on all of the PC stuff about what you shouldn't say. it can really be confusing to them in a situation like that.
1
or invite white people up onstage to rap the song that you wrote with you.
1
not all of these kids do know better though. it's going to really seem ok if the guy who wrote the lyrics invites you onstage to rap the song with him.
