Saman - nelson mandela really was doing terrorist attacks and therefore was a terrorist in his early years. he later renounced it and became activist who used peaceful methods to end apartheid in south africa. the word "terrorist" isn't necessarily a dirty word. the media just likes to spin their stories any way they like and leave everybody confused about the very basics of history and current events.

i think that the turks are afraid of re-arming the PKK and whoever they think might decide to side with the PKK and that they will turn around and start trouble for them again. the turkish government to me does seem to be a dictatorial one right now and they don't have a good track record when it comes to human rights but still from a logical point of view, there is no way that they are going to want to re-arm any kurds. ISIS knew this and that is why they attacked kobane and want to go further into the kurdistan region.

no, what is happening in turkey is a mexican standoff. there are 3 groups that all hate each other. turkey's chess move is to do nothing and let the kurds and ISIS kill each other for a little while and then swoop down and take out ISIS if it looks as though ISIS is about to win. they aren't pro-ISIS, they are anti-kuds and anti-ISIS.

TheTotalGangsterNinjaBeastProSamurai i heard that the turkish government wasn't letting kurds cross the border to fight ISIS and that was the reason why some kurds went out on the streets and did some protesting and rioting and then the police killed some of them and so on.

TheTotalGangsterNinjaBeastProSamurai native tribes do have their own country. they even elect their own chiefs. it's like they have dual citizenship as being both a citizen of the usa and a citizen of whichever tribe that they belong to. you never heard of that?
1
TheTotalGangsterNinjaBeastProSamurai you said, "why doesn't the usa let the native tribes have their own country" when in fact they have done that.
1
TheTotalGangsterNinjaBeastProSamurai they are an independent nation. google cherokee nation, navajo nation, pick a tribe and google it.

David McIntyre no that was the armenians about 100 years ago under the ottoman empire. the turkish government still denies it though.
1
David McIntyre i think that the turkish government supports ISIS and kurds killing each other. if ISIS starts to look like they are about to win then i would predict that the turkish government would then send their army out to try to dispose of ISIS.

western colonialism and imperialism should share much of the blame. still, the stubborn inability to compromise with each other in the middle-east seems to get even closer to the root of the problems in the middle-east. then again, if the middle-east was able to come together and not be so divisive then the CIA would be scared shitless and spread propaganda hear about "communism spreading all over the middle east" and do whatever they could think of to sabotage the peace. the CIA never did that though. the french and the british took care of that with the treaty of versailles and the sykes-picot agreement.

***** it seems like some of the arab gulf monarchical states have benefited from the oil deals with whoever wants to buy their oil. there is still a real gap between the rich and the poor but you see that in every country.

I Hate Islam the arabs didn't create the idea of colonialism. it's something that empires have always done. the roman, egyptian, persian, mongolian, etc empires all colonized the lands that they conquered. that' was the whole point generally speaking for invading and conquering a region.
1
I Hate Islam the arabs didn't invent slavery either. slavery has been around forever. read the book of exodus in the bible and that is one example of an ancient form of slavery. also the greeks, romans, nubians, and even native american tribes practiced slavery.

from a logical point of view, i think that the turkish government is afraid that if they re-arm kurds, they will turn around, break the truce and restart a civil war with them again. both sides have problems.

technically what the PKK has done in the past is called terrorism. the question is whether or not the PKK is justified in their terrorism or not.
