  1. I drove through Nebraska once. It’s the closest time I’ve ever had to falling asleep at the wheel. I couldn’t even get a radio station for half the goddam state. I didn’t see a tree or even a hill. It was endless farmland and perfectly straight road. It was the late 80’s, I was a 20 year old stud with high hopes and an attitude of rainbows and waterfalls that only the young have the naivety to possess. I think everyone should drive across the country at some point.
