There is' but it's a gas BB gun. Made to original drawings by Webley. Bit like a sports car with a moped engine.

Depends where you live. In the Channel Islands Britian is always the Mainland

Either the .455 or later the Webley IV in .38 calibre with a 4 inch barrel. Each force ordered it's own specification. The Royal Irish Constabulary had thier own version of the Webley with a smooth cylinder.

There was also a baby .22 rimfire pistol, that was sweet .

When you say Army, Navy- Does that refer to the Army & Navy store? They were the major retailers of all things military to Officers at home or abroad. Thier name would be marked as suppplier.

Probabaly from the Army & Navy Stores. They were a shop and mail order for everything an Officer and Gentleman would need on campaign or forign service, from guns to furniture to grocerries.

The revolvers were used in trench raids. In the confines of fighting trenches, rifle and bayonet are just to awkward to swing about. Pistols . clubs and entrenching tools were weapons of choice. Even a 16 inch bayonet was found unweildy and a lot were cut down. Standard British /Empire tactics became a guy with a bag of grenades as the first offense with riflemen to back him up. Lewis and Vickers Crews could be issued with revolvers, also tank crews.

Pleasure Troy.

That is a Goverment Arsenal Enfeild gun,. They are so close to Webley's that Webley sued for patent infrigment. The lockwork is a bit diffrent. Tank designation is a bit of a misnomer as they were genral issue , just so many recalls , rebuilds , switch back and fopre on Mk's it gets complicated. So the gun still has a story to tell.

On the later ones the quick remove is deleted. The end of the lever is fixed by the screw.

They weree using S&W Revolvers, after the Webleys finally wore out. Now on Glock self loaders and H&K's.

Robert: Not to doubt you. The Webley style didn't change that much throughout production so easy to mix up. The .38/200 became standard British Army pistol calibre , and police use throughout the Commonwealth post Great War. The resoning being .455 was a brute to shoot, and the pistol was to big. This resulted in the Webley MkIV The Royal Amoury at Enfeild copied Webley's design so closley that the company sued for patent infringment, and those two are often confused. The cylindeer removal looses the quick relaease action and is now held by screw and washer at the end. I'm looking at one now as I write this.

Pleasure, proves you right and adds to the story. Those pistols were in Police use well into the 1970's in UK. Classic pistol of the old Black and White 1950's British Films,
