  2. As an aside. A while back a gentelman in Croydon, South london owned an Abbot. The local council got assey because the by-laws said 'You can't own a tank in the London Bourough of Croydon. His defence? 'It's not a tank', this was backed up by the MOD, The Army and Bovington Tank Museum. Council got a real snit over it . On one glourious occasion he drove it down Whitehall in Central london, painted pink, with four large plastic pigs, each wearing a Policemans helmet, stuck on poles at each corner. The Police outside 10 Downing Street laughed themselves silly. At the traffic lights at the end of Whitehall he came to a halt behind a women in a Vauxhall Astra, a sub-sub- compact car for our US friends. The woman looked in her mirror then spun round in the seat with a look of total shock on her face. I nearly wet myself laughing.
