  2. How come programing the ECM has to go through the company, and you can't do it yourself, since you have the tools, to talk to the ECM, is there like secret stuff in there that they want to be kept secret? all brands do that?

GM, continues to underwhelm, won't touch a GM product, last one was a company vehicle in 1987, turned it in, Went VW all the time since then, never left, same dealer, all 17+ vehicles...I recall a Pontiac, oy vey, that was a real POS...GM, why does it exist? it went Bankrupt, bailed out by YOUR tax dollars
