김도완 Koreans might not be able to tell as they see it all the time...But people that dont usually see plastic faces can tell...

Ameliè中福 Why cant they have the freedom to express themselves? Theyre single. Why cant they talking about attractive females?

Daniel Shin That "high" plastic surgery rate you are overlooking is the highest rate in the world...it doesnt represent SK, but that number is screaming something. It has certainly caught everyones attention in the world. That "stereotype" you speak of has very strong evidence to suggest that a significant portion of that ship has undergone plastic surgery, especially on a cruise filled with superficial and materialistic people. "Either way no one should be insulted for their physical looks, would you not agree?" Definitely not, especially on a natural level. But if its self inflicted, then they will be subjected to the law of cause and effect.

Goldcup1 "Getting plastic surgery is better than being ugly to be honest" Who says those people were "ugly" to begin with? Why cant you "accept" people for who they originally are? And by "originally" I mean physically originally. Unless your face is burnt, deformed or have some wrong with it, plastic surgery is for the insecure or those that want attention. "We all judge other people by their appearance" Its an equation. We judge people on how they "present" themselves, based on their conduct. Appearance is but one aspect. Appearance also includes how well you groom yourself, what you wear, and your body language. Surgery on your face is not of your "own doing" unlike the rest of what I have mentioned. "Koreans are the most honest people in the world" So bias. You mean most arrogant right? "People just hate Koreans for taking care of appearance" Theres a fine line between "taking care" and being superficial. No one likes a superficial person. If you cant tell the difference, then you need to get out of your bubble, your bubble is rather toxic. "They care about what they wear and you people don’t!" More baseless opinions. Who says "we people" dont? What evidence do you have to even make that judgement? This kind of links in with your bubble I was speaking of, its toxic, get out of it.

Goldcup1 Thats fine. But if youre going to enter a discussion saying "At least they take care about their appearance unlike you filthy humans", then you better be prepared for some innocent bypasser to take offence. "So why don’t you stop being anti Korea and accept the truth" I have nothing against SK. I do however, despise superficial and materialistic people. Its nothing to do with nationality. Theres materialistic and superficial people everywhere in every country. SK just happens to have the highest rate of plastic surgery per capital in the world thats all.

Daniel Shin Whats he suppose to be jealous of? Plastic?

Daniel Shin I mean, he said that as a joke. Not very nice, but still a joke lol. SK is infamous (or famous) for having the most people undergoing plastic surgery per capita afterall. And he didnt "accuse" a specific person. So his accusation was not baseless, it was a fact. "You wouldn’t say plastic to an ordinary/ugly looking person right?" There are many incidents with plastic surgery gone wrong and turned out ugly. If you make a slideshow video plastic surgery gone wrong on that, I bet you will have many comments on how "plastic" and "fake" they are.

Goldcup1 So adding plastic to your body is "taking care of your appearance" now? If you dont, youre filthy?

Daniel Shin "Then what about the rest of the 98% of the korean population that didn’t do plastic surgery?" 2% rate? Where did you get that figure from? Here what I found instead: "20 percent of women have had some form of cosmetic work, compared to 5 percent of American women, according to widely cited data from the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons" Also, this "medical tourism" you speak, although it is true, it isnt even significant enough to dent the korean population plastic surgery rate statistic. "at least get the facts right or be specific. Its got nothing to do with only koreans. You are racially stereotyping" I never said it was koreans only? I only said Korea had the highest PS rate per capita? Which is a fact? When you have 20% of korean women "working" on their body, thats not exactly racial stereotyping. Its backed by facts. "Why do you think Instagram models in the west get so many followers? For their natural beauty? No. Boob jobs butt jobs rhinoplasty lip fillers. Do you think its any better?" Ofcourse not. I despise materialistic people in general. As I said earlier, its nothing to do with nationality. Theres materialistic and superficial people everywhere in every country. SK just happens to have the highest rate of plastic surgery per capita in the world thats all.
