Comments by "Yerris" (@yerri5567) on "Afghan women take risks driving in Herat after the Taliban restricts new licences" video.
Vick l Its not that they treat them as they dont exist, but because its a dangerous place out there, so they want their mother/sis/wife/daughter to always be around close male family members when out for protection purposes. But the Taliban is taking it a bit too far by not renewing their licence...

@ryanjoseph9335 "Who makes it dangerous for women there? It's the men in power" No. Its the men in general.

@hamfistsman6267 You might enjoy your work, and staying at home and raising kids might be hardER for YOU. But have you ever flipped that around and considered that some people might NOT enjoy their work, and prefer to stay at home and raise kids? Not saying no effort is needed, but what if they prefer that? And find it easIER to do so?

@purplefire In this whole thread you have said nothing of substance. And here you are telling me to "reflect". You should look at yourself in the mirror before accusing others of things...You are not qualified to criticise me

@st694 How can women be "equal" under Muslim when men can marry multiple wives but women cannot have multiple husbands?

@VickelLeung Vice has proven to have agendas. They rarely ever give 2 sides of the story. Even if they do show the other side, its carefully selected to fit their narrative. How are people meant to make meaningful conclusions with just 1 side of the story? They could be interviewing and showcasing the worst for all that matters. And people believe that the worst of what a country has to offer, as the reality for the whole country... I skipped though the documentary. We have a case of the brother fighting for his sister. You made it sound like all women are neglected and abused by their father, brother, husband etc...

@thevinceberry Thats what I said. Men. And youre painting all husbands with the same brush...just because SOME husbands are abusive doesnt mean ALL are...

@thevinceberry "Right, so why don't they punish all the bad men instead of locking all the women in the house. Apply sharia law/ severe punish to all the offenders to scare the new offenders away" They do. When reported. But question is, when a man commits a "bad act" on these women and run away, how do you convict them if you dont know who they are? Isnt it better to be safe than sorry in such a dangerous environment?

@twopercentflat4766 "Its dangerous for anyone to go outside" Men dont sexually assault men in Afghanistan... "Why should a man decide where you get to go or what you get to do" Women can go outside if they want. I dont think thats "illegal" per se. Its just dangerous for them. As a close kin of these women, dont you think its in your interest to protect them by accompanying them when theyre out? "And if outside is dangerous criminals will target people in-doors. Its not as if many houses in Afghanistan are particularly secure or safe." Youre speculating at this point. Most crimes arent committed by invading someones home...

@purplefire Bluff? Random stuff? Illogical? Suppressor? Quote me where I said such things. Also, what do you mean by copying ALL your statements? I mimicked you ONCE to show you the nonsense you are spouting.
1
@purplefire "or people who keep copying the exact same lines what I said" You seem like a person thats never heard of quoting or questioning ones words before. "I have no time for interacting with people..." Then dont interact with me. You were the one that started the interaction with me. "or as I said reflect" And again, look in the mirror first. Youre not qualified to tell me to reflect.

@MDgp5dl Sure, but for the average women in the country, the likelihood of being "wraped" outside is higher than at home.

@abdulgaffar4597-g7h "a huge amount of Afghan girls suffer from domestic abuse and you can't ignore that fact. The harsh restrictions on women's rights including...If islamic Republics like Pakistan, Iran, Saudi have female politicians, why not Afghanistan?" Youre making a whole heap of assumptions here. Who said Im ignoring the fact that theres harsh restrictions on women here? Im merely explaining how things work there, not advocating it. "are men not victims of any criminal act outdoors in Afghanistan? Then men Should stay indoors too? Better safe than sorry logic?" So what now? Everyone stays home and no one works? Hows a family mean to have food on the table? Its either risking men get beaten or women getting "wraped". Take your pick. "Muslims do support vice when they make videos about uighurs and palestinians and indian muslims..when's the " not showing 2 sides of the same story " theory then?" Im not talking about "support". Im talking about unbiased REPORTING. Does Vice show the Chinese governments side on the Uighur situation? Does Vice show the Indians governments side on the Indian Muslim situation? All without cherry picking to suit their narrative? No. They dont! They have a narrative they want to paint. Some call it propaganda.

@Rhanz2021 Thats what I meant, its subjective. And what do you mean by "both are equally hard if the child dont listen and u get paid less". The point I was making is others MAY find it easIER (enjoy) to do something that others find hardER (dont enjoy). Also, if the child doesnt listen, then they need to be disciplined. Some people enjoy exerting power and authority. Some dont. Hence why I said its subjective.
