  2. The opposition, at least some, see themselves waging a war, and the generational interests of farmers as a small price to pay for a more glorious ideological victory. Oh, the irony!

  3. Going forward, the government needs a strategy for building public opinion by directly addressing the most vulnerable sections of the population, in their language and idiom, months ahead of any new changes. This can be done subtly, and should be attempted even now with the farm reforms.

  4.  @subhxsish  I don't know the details of it, but sorry to hear that if they did so. That would be two decades of lost time and a generation of farmer families' opportunity lost for a better life. It is also a question of building the resilience of Indian society as a whole to withstand economic shocks, and unfortunately, there will be more in the coming decades.
