  1. So long as Congress leaders act contemptuous of ‘native’ (read non-English speaking) opposition leaders, the party deserves to be obliterated. Which would be an unfortunate thing for the health of Indian democracy, but a necessary destruction. It is not a question at all of mere tactics but of a deep reformation of attitude. They could start fixing things by celebrating the robustness of Indian democracy that let a chaiwala become PM, Instead of sneering at the achievement. And yes, Rahul Gandhi could start learning about sabhyata even in his 50s. Never too late.
