  2. As India starts with blank slate for its model of development, she is only obligated to borrow ideas that work within the context of the coming challenges of climate and population. Innovations are possible in urban and rural planning, the delivery of education, even the nature of work itself, that empower the many to be economically productive while leading meaningful and fulfilled lives. Perhaps look to the explicitly moral Chanakya more than to the amoral invisible hand of Adam Smith for inspiration.
