Most Indian journalists, apologies for the broad brush, rarely go beyond the 'what' to understand the 'why'. Blame it on the old educational system which did not prioritize critical thinking skills. No way the INSAS system or the MBT fell by the wayside without some active help in slow-walking them. There is a good story there for a curious reporter.

Nothing wrong with India's neighborhood, it is what India and her neighbours will make of it (with the unmalleable exception of Pakistan). The other neighborhood options are 1) Europe, which spent most of time until a few decades ago in a death match for supremacy amongst themselves, and on two occasions dragged the rest of the world into it. 2) Near America, which is a wonderful place, but not sure how it would feel like to be a neigbour of, 3) The Middle East, which is mired in internal conflict and not a fun place to be in right now. 4) Africa, which is working through the same scars of history that India and her neighbors are - A public service message brought to you in the interests of responsible journalism.

Shri Shekhar Gupta would get laughed out of any business classroom for showing a token digital camera to hold up Kodak as an example of a business that adapted to photography's transition to digital. Kodak has been a miserable failure at leveraging their once-superb brand value into digital and are now grasping at straws. This is yet another example of The Print's lazy journalism.
