  2. For heaven's sake, even the foul mouthed Shri Trump showed greater sensitivity for what the economic implications of cleaner air standards are in terms of adding costs to his people, than does India's upper crust that never burdens its mind with the concerns of the hoi polloi.

  4. Not ONE sentence about the costs of cleaning air! Indian intellectuals talking ad nauseum about the minutiae of air particulates without ever wrapping their minds around the costs of cleanup for the economy, is frankly not surprising, but this needs to change.

  5. Rather than courts passing abrupt bans of firecrackers two weeks before Diwali (what about all the vendors who look forward all year to the Diwali season to make a living ?), the establishment has to evolve an economic model to clean up the air, that also grows the GDP.
