'Disaster' management, and 'Disaster' response, sound like a surefire way to further shatter the morale of people in the middle of a 'disaster'. Can they not rename them as 'Emergency' management and 'Emergency' response?

@abhishekdeshmukh7628 Nobody is denying facts or asking to change the response. What is the mathematical equation that separates the boundary between a disaster and an emergency? Emotion is the engine that drives positive or negative action.

@PrabhavShukla1 What you are saying is that the center coordinates large events and states manage smaller events. Just for the record, it seems that disaster management is a state responsibility in India, and NDMA provides coordination when the states request it. In other words, there are no 'facts' involved that would prohibit one term vs the other.

@PrabhavShukla1 Under section 14 of the Disaster Management Act of 2005, states are responsible for establishing 'state disaster management authorities'. That falsifies your claim that disasters are not under state jurisdiction. Look it up at https://ndma.gov.in/images/ndma-pdf/DM_act2005.pdf. It is OK to be an idiot, but to be a rude idiot like you is a bit much.
