  1. Excerpt from Mr. Pavan Gupta's comment below, which makes a lot of sense to me: "From a crony capitalist model to a broad based development model is a paradigm shift since 1947. For 65 years our economy was largely urban and concentrated in the hands of 1%. This government has put the entire financial sector on notice and brought in the rule of law to this much abused sector of a developing economy like India. The massive pain should have been anticipated by experts and explained to the people who are genuinely hurting. This slowdown is unlikely to stop anytime soon."
