Insightful comment! Most people don't understand the statistical nature of these things and fret without any thought about access to childhood nutrition, sports facilities, etc. etc..

Going slightly on a tangent, the biggest absurdity of the Pegasus story is depending on a foreign country for snooping tools. The risks are many. More R&D needed in India. This will happen when the best motivated computer science graduates stay back in India.

@ontisalaga1789 'Shady' is good when it comes to national security. All 'shady' things however must be done with proper oversight and follow previously agreed upon, written-down, rules (i.e. not be done ad hoc).

One must recall Roger Bannister and the 4-minute mile barrier. Until he broke it, people came up with all kinds of scientific theories for why it was physiologically not possible for humans to run a mile in less than 4 minutes. Once he broke it, his record rapidly fell to multiple others (within an year, I think).

@ontisalaga1789 What I mean is there need to be previously agreed upon rules, dharma if you will, that the courts can refer to if need be. These things need to be done in secret, but should be verifiable by high legal authority if the need arises.
