  1. The cutting of clutter starts a full 10 minutes into the episode - equal parts data and 2024 spin. A lot of the import bill looks like went into capacity building for building large warships, high speed trains, tunnel boring, road laying equipment, iPhone assembly lines, etc. etc. India has started the flywheel turning with Atmanirbhar Bharat. You can't expect the same results in 2+ years ( Atmanirbhar announced in 2020) what China with full earnestness achieved in 40+ years of focused effort. India is on the right manufacturing path, with much more to do.
